Dialup at DSL speed with SlipStream October 20, 2004

SlipStream Web Accelerator

Boost your dial-up speed by as much as 5X with SlipStream Web Accelerator.

Patented Slipstream technology compresses web site graphics by as much as 6X and delivers them to you with a total speed increase of as much as 5 times normal.

You've seen this advertised by many companies such as the Net Zero ad on TV, this is the same thing, same technology, same price. For only $5 more you can boost your Web surfing speed by as much as 5 times. Dialup acts like DSL, DSL acts like Wireless, Wireless acts like ... well it's faster. Dialup users see the greatest benefit although any connection will be improved.
Some things to note:

  • Image clarity is degraded due to compression.
  • Images can be selectively viewed at original quality.
  • E-Mail is not compressed
  • Downloads other than graphics are not compressed.
  • Active pop-up blocker included.
  • Can disable and enable Slipstream at will, without reboot.

Try it now for 30 days, if you don't like it call and we'll shut it off, no charge.

Here is how it works:

You download and install the SlipStream client.  This small program configures your system to use the SlipStream proxy server for all internet data transfers.  When your browser requests a web page the SlipStream client sends that request to the SlipStream server which downloads the page, compresses the pictures, and sends the pictures to you, thus increasing your speed. The size of the pictures is not affected, only the quality.  If you need to see a picture at it's original quality you can right click on it and download the original, uncompressed image.  You can also adjust the overall compression ratio or turn off compression completely.

Do Not confuse SlipStream with those freebie Internet advertised things like eAcceleration and Internet Optimizer.  Those things are adware/spyware.  They do not improve your speed, in fact they slow you down with their popups and spyware trash.  Remember the time tested saying "You get what you pay for".  Ad Supported Software is paid for by advertising, that means adware, spyware and popups.  If you use your limited bandwidth downloading advertising, popups and spyware and waste your time closing popups all the time is the free trash really worth it? NO.

Isn't technology great? Dialup at DSL speed without DSL cost, gotta luv it.
